Thank you for your interest in our proposals for new woodlands at Mickleholme and Newball.

We have now carefully reviewed all the feedback received during the recent consultation on our woodland proposal at Mickleholme. A summary of the responses, along with our replies to the key issues raised, has been compiled into a consultation report. You can view the report by clicking the link below.

We will soon be submitting our proposals to the Forestry Commission for regulatory review, ahead of planting the new woodland. As our plans progress, we will continue to provide updates on our website.

We are still reviewing the feedback received on our woodland proposals at Newball. A consultation report for this site will be published shortly.

Forestry England invites your feedback on our draft plans for new woodlands on land at Mickleholme, near Dunholme, and at Newball, near Langworth in Lincolnshire.

Why your views matter

Your feedback, as well as site surveys, has helped shape the design proposals for how each of the new woodlands could look.  Forestry England value your comments and feedback.  For those that would like to view the plans in person, and speak to a member of our team, please come along to our public consultation event on 20th March from 4pm to 7pm at The Dunholme Old School Community Centre, Market Rasen Road, Dunholme, LN2 3QR

What happens next

What happens next

The consultation will close at midnight on 6th April 2025. All responses will be summarised and included in a consultation report along with our response to the key issues raised and published on the consultation portal. Consultation feedback and further surveys will help shape the design proposal we will submit to the Forestry Commission for regulatory review ahead of planting the new woodland.
