Bytham Woods Forest Plan 2026 Consultation
Overview
We would like to invite feedback on the proposed Bytham Woods Forest Plan.
The Bytham Woods Forest Plan area totals 1138.4ha and comprises the following individual woodlands: Twyford, Morkery, Cabbagehill, Stretton, Little Haw and Addah, Moor Plantation, Cowclose Plantation, Clipsham Park, Clipsham Coronation Wood, Pickworth Great, Greetham Near, Greetham Far, Osbonall, Careby and Braceborough. They are all located within a 9km radius of Little Bytham and straddle the counties of Rutland and Lincolnshire.
Forest plans define the long term vision for a woodland or a collection of woodlands and set out how management will move towards achieving this vision over the next ten years.
This online questionnaire forms part of a consultation with stakeholders that helps to ensure that we achieve an appropriate balance of objectives.
Why your views matter
It is a requirement that all Forestry England woodlands are managed to the high standards needed to meet the Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC®) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™). All Forestry England’s forests and woods are independently certified as sustainably managed, to continue to benefit future generations.
The forest plan is available to download as a PDF below and can be viewed as part of the questionnaire.
The online consultation will run until 19th July 2026. Any comments should be submitted through the online survey form before the closing date. Feedback received after the closing date will not be considered.
