Rowberrow Warren 2014-2024

Closed 2 Sep 2014

Opened 3 Aug 2014

Overview

Forest Plans define the long term vision (usually 50 years) for a woodland or a collection of woodlands and set out how management will move towards achieving this vision over the forthcoming decades.

We would like to invite you or your organisation to leave some feedback on our proposed amendment to the Forest Plan covering Rowberrow Warren in Somerset.  This forms part of our consultation with stakeholders, that helps to ensure that we achieve an appropriate balance of objectives.

Why your views matter

PLEASE NOTE THIS CONSULTATION WILL BE UNAVAILABLE FOR COMMENT ON THE 20TH AUGUST BETWEEN 7PM AND 10PM DUE TO ESSENTIAL IT MAINTENANCE

The plan for Rowberrow Warren has come up for renewal.  We are therefore asking for your feedback to ensure the objectives are considered and balanced for the proposals being put forward in this rewrite for this wood.

It is also a requirement that all Forestry Commission woodlands are managed to the high standards needed to meet the UK Woodland Assurance Standard that in turn ensure sustainable forest management certification of the Public Forest Estate is maintained.

The Forest Plan is available to download below in PDF format on A4.

This part of the consultation will run for 28 days from Sunday 03rd August 2014 to Tuesday 02nd September 2014.

Any comments should be submitted through the online survey form before the closing date.

Feedback received after the closing date may not be able to be considered.

What happens next

The online Stakeholder Consultation has now closed.  We are examining the feedback and where possible, will incorporate suggestions into the Forest Plan.

We will then submit the Forest Plan to Forest Services, the regulatory arm of the Forestry Commission, for any further consultation required prior to approval.
