Why your views matter
Your feedback, as well as site surveys, will help shape the design proposal for how the new woodland could look. Forestry England value your comments and feedback. For those that would like to view the plans in person, and speak to a member of our team, please come along to our public consultation event on 24th February 2026 from 4pm to 7pm at Inwardleigh and Folly Gate Village Hall, New Road, Folly Gate, Okehampton, EX20 3AB
What happens next
What happens next
The consultation will close at midnight on 6th March 2026. All responses will be summarised and included in a consultation report along with our response to the key issues raised and published on the consultation portal. Consultation feedback and further surveys will help shape the design proposal we will submit to the Forestry Commission for regulatory review ahead of planting the new woodland.
