Fermyn Woods Forest Plan 2025 Consultation
Overview
We would like to invite feedback on the proposed Fermyn Woods Forest Plan.
The Fermyn Woods total 918.9ha and comprise the woods of Harry’s Park, Mounterley, Cherry Lap, Souther, Titchmarsh, Lilford, Wadenhoe Great, Wadenhoe Little, Bearshank and Oundle. They lie to the east of Corby and are arranged in an approximate V-shaped formation.
Forest plans define the long term vision for a woodland or a collection of woodlands and set out how management will move towards achieving this vision over the next ten years.
This online questionnaire forms part of a consultation with stakeholders that helps to ensure that we achieve an appropriate balance of objectives.
Why your views matter
It is a requirement that all Forestry England woodlands are managed to the high standards needed to meet the Forest Stewardship Council ® (FSC®) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™). All Forestry England’s forests and woods are independently certified as sustainably managed, to continue to benefit future generations.
The forest plan is available to download as a PDF below and can be viewed as part of the questionnaire.
The online consultation will run until 15th February 2025. Any comments should be submitted through the online survey form before the closing date. Feedback received after the closing date cannot be considered.
